Type landscape, publication design created in 2022.

Below, shows a ten page publication design. For this assignment, I was required to write, photograph, and design a magazine article showcasing type design within my everyday environment. Living in San Francisco, I have always been drawn to graffiti that is spread throughout the city. I noticed that a lot of the city graffiti accumulates in areas of public transportation. Specifically, Muni bus stops seem to be a target. Over the course of a month, using a DSLR I photographed graffiti on muni bus stops, specifically focusing on written words. As I documented the cities artwork, I was able to write a story about public art and how it is perceived within the community. I designed this publication using Adobe Indesign and then printed and bound my work by hand. Being that I was able to intergrade myself into my community, this is personally one of my favorite works.
